Write a Letter to President Obama for Federal Money for LA Transit Projects

Thank you for your support of Move LA.  Hopefully you signed our LA Metro “30/10 Plan” petition.  But, if you haven’t, please do so by clicking on the link above. 

Next we need your help to take us a step closer to the “30/10 Plan” goal.

You might have heard that we’ve had a big victory with the Obama administration loaning LA Metro $546 million to accelerate the development of the Crenshaw light rail line.  We believe this shows that the president is serious about helping us implement the “30/10 Plan” in which we accelerate the development of all 12 measure R rail projects.

We’d like you to send a similar letter of the attached Move LA example on your stationery to the White House and CC those also listed.  In addition, please encourage inclusion of $160 million in the President’s 2011-2012 Budget for Preliminary Engineering for the Los Angeles County Wilshire Subway and Regional Connector transit projects.  These two projects will provide the trunk line and system connectivity the Los Angeles County transit system needs.
